Users Complaining The Bricking Issues Of Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3XL

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphone users are experiencing a crucial error which is taking out their locked devices and making them phlegmatic.

Those users facing this problem take their smartphone to Google’s problem tracker, support forums, and Reddit, to complain that their smartphones are confined to a Qualcomm EDL mode, instead of Android, which makes their phones not working.

EDL mode is a feature enabled by Qualcomm that can allow you to retrieve data from a device and perform tasks such as unlocking the device, unlocking the bootloader, or modifying the parameters of the protected device.

Most of the complaints are registered in June. Users reported about the problem of waking up to a dead phone after an overnight security update, on the other hand, some of them are complaining that the phones are off at the moment.

Customers are embarrassed that Google Helpdesk is reluctant to return damaged devices as they are out of warranty. This indicates that affected users can repair themselves or purchase a new smartphone on their own. This is because the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL were released in October 2018, so most smartphones sold within that period will no longer be warranted and will lose Google support.

Google has yet to officially comment on the matter. It will be interesting to see if the company plans to extend the warranty on affected Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phones as it recently did for its Pixel 4 XL devices facing certain hardware issues.
