Review: NYSTND Quad Tray MagSafe wireless charging dock

Picture this: On a typical night, my nightstand consists of an iPhone and Apple Watch carelessly plugged into its charger, and somewhere on my wife’s bedside is an iPad patiently waiting its turn to charge. It’s an absolute disaster and I hate it. Not to mention the tug of war game of who gets the magazine first.

It comforts me to know that I am not the only one in this situation. Today, most of us have a bunch of random devices that we need to charge before we wake up the next day.

Fortunately, there is a product wealth which address this, but I wouldn’t put any of these on my nightstand for the most part. Again, I’m not going to hit anyone who has them, but I don’t think my wife will even physically allow me.

Then I came across a company called NYTSTND. The company makes wireless charging docks that are like mini works of art, handcrafted from premium leather and polished wood. And what’s even wilder is that they are made from Amish woodworking communities based in the Midwest.

For the past few weeks, I have been using the Quad Tray MagSafe Wireless Charging Station, and I have to say that it has solved a lot of my charging problems. There are no messy cords on my nightstand anymore and I no longer have to ask my wife where my cargo brick is. Instead, it blends right in with my nightstand like it really belongs there.

The device will cost you $ 234 and is capable of charging four devices at once. It features a five-coil surface charging area, which means you can wirelessly charge an iPhone 12 (or higher), Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously. Plus, it works with any Qi compatible deviceAlthough the company recommends using MagSafe as it works better.

Another little thing I like about this wireless charging dock is its tray area. You can keep your keys, wallet or whatever you need to download from your pocket next to your phone. I know this is not a big deal, but the more I can hold, the less I have to hear from my wife. I can be a big bum at times, so it’s totally justified.

Registering at $ 234, this is certainly an expensive charging dock. Sure, there are a ton of them you can find on Amazon for under $ 50, but they certainly won’t come close to build quality or look as good as what NYTSTND has to offer. And not to mention that most of them won’t even work with Apple’s new MagSafe standard.

The Quad Tray MagSafe Wireless Charging Station is just one of the company’s many options for charging stations. Of course, the more devices you have to charge, the higher the price. Prices range from $ 129 to $ 234, and there are plenty of options and color options to choose from. Learn more at NYSTND website here.

The bad

It’s a bit pricey, but given the build quality and materials, it’s justified.
