Poco has released several impressive phones this year, most of which have found success with buyers. However, one of these devices has been in the news lately, and that too for the wrong reasons. The Poco X3 Pro launched in India in March has made headlines again after an Indian Twitter user Aman Bhardwaj (@ Ammybhardwaj13) claimed that his Little X3 Pro it caught fire within 5 minutes of being removed from the charger.
The Twitter user had also shared some images of the phone along with a receipt for the purchase of the phone. According to the information shared, the phone was purchased on June 15, 2021. Images shared by the Twitter user show the phone after it caught fire. The phone is shown charred with the device’s battery bulging out, suggesting a possible battery explosion. Interestingly, the image also shows the blanket on the bed that was also kept burned, possibly as a result of the explosion. The only positive side here is that no one was injured during the blast and no serious damage was done to the surroundings either. Also noteworthy is the fact that the user has currently deleted the tweet.
However, not before the issue caught the attention of Poco India, which has since issued a statement on the matter. Clarifying his position, he said: “At Poco India, customer safety is of the utmost importance, and we take these matters extremely seriously. All of our devices go through several levels of stringent quality testing to ensure that device quality is not compromised. be compromised at any level. Based on our technical investigation, the device appeared bent and the LCM (liquid crystal module) was crushed, indicating the application of an external force. Therefore, this is classified as “damage induced by the customer”.
