Microsoft Now Offers Users A Passwordless Way To Log Into Their Accounts

Passwords are how we protect our accounts and to prevent other people from using and accessing them. However, passwords are not always the safest option because they can be guessed, which is why in recent years we have started to see alternatives to passwords.

In fact, it looks like this is something Microsoft will give users the option to do. The company has announced that it will offer users the option to remove the password from their Microsoft accounts. Instead, it will rely on alternative methods for users to log into their accounts.

According to Microsoft, “Starting today, you can now completely remove your password from your Microsoft account. Use the Microsoft Authenticator app, Windows Hello, a security key or verification code sent to your phone or email to sign in to your favorite apps and services like Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Family Safety, and more. “

Note that this is optional and those who are more comfortable using passwords can continue to do so, but for those who prefer to explore an alternative to password systems, this will be an option you can check out. The change is expected to roll out in the next few weeks, so stay tuned if you’re interested.
