Jiye Technologies starts rollout of expansion plan and quickly secures 10,000 retailers in Karachi

Jiye Technologies, Pakistan’s fastest growing agricultural technology platform that recently revealed its $ 2.5 million pre-seed funding, has now started to expand rapidly across Pakistan. After launching operations in Lahore just 5 months ago, the company has now set its sights on Pakistan’s largest metropolis, Karachi.

Co-founder Osama Salman expressed his enthusiasm for the city’s already successful launch stating:

“With the recent round of funding, our top priority has been to expand our geographic footprint. We believe that retailers are key stakeholders in this ecosystem in dire need of transformation. By setting foot in Karachi with over 10,000 retailers on board, we are well prepared to conquer the city of lights and leave a lasting impact. “

With 10,000 retailers already on board, Jiye Technologies has secured a sizable share of the market and is projected to increase its revenue 10 times. The field team is mapping the retailer network across the city and collecting valuable data that has not previously existed. The company’s vision of transforming the entire agricultural supply chain ecosystem and its stakeholders is being enthusiastically received by farmers and retailers alike. Democratizing access to markets, while ensuring a regular supply of quality products, is helping to increase the business growth of retailers.

Jiye Technologies has already started working on additional urban operations as its broader expansion strategy. With news from new cities expected in the coming weeks.

“I was pleasantly surprised to meet with the Jiye Technologies team. They were well aware of the issues I had faced with my store and presented me with a new, easier way to order stock for my business. Now I don’t have to worry about quality anymore, I get a better return on investment and get timely deliveries. I am looking forward to working with them and for Inshallah to see my store grow ”. Jiye sets out to revolutionize the agricultural supply chain in a country with the 5the largest population and 56 million acres of arable land; Pakistan, where more than 40% of disposable income is spent on food, a staggering figure compared to single digits in the developed world. The startup aims to bring food safety to the region by solving the inefficiencies of the conventional supply chain from farm to retail.
