Israeli Firm Rezilion Raises $30M To Automate Security Work

Israeli cybersecurity firm Rezilion, a startup transforming the DevSecOps space with automation, Announced Monday that it has raised $ 30 million in a Series A funding round.

The round was led by global financial services firm Guggenheim Investments along with participation from Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) and Kindred Capital. The new investment partners, which were comprised of current and former security executives and luminaries from Google, Microsoft, CrowdStrike, IBM, Cisco, PayPal, JP Morgan Chase, Nasdaq, eBay, Symantec, RedHat, RSA and Tenable, also contributed to round. .

Rezilion says the investment will be used to rapidly scale Rezilion’s go-to-market approach, partnering with other DevSecOps solution providers, as well as expanding operations to expand its customer base in the US and Europe. Additional product development also aims to further bridge the gap between security and engineering, boosting the productivity of both resources to enable timely software delivery and enable organizations to innovate faster.

The pandemic has required more companies to adopt and accelerate a digital-centric business approach, putting greater pressure on IT leaders and their development teams to deliver time-critical digital product experiences. While code development has been automated with DevOps, securing unprecedented amounts of code is a constant challenge, and mitigating and controlling risk requires extensive manual work by highly skilled engineers. As a result, companies were forced to choose between staying safe or breaking free quickly.

Founded in 2018, Rezilion is a cybersecurity startup developing technology to make cloud environments self-protective and resistant to cyber attacks. Rezilion fully automates security operations by ensuring that all services and applications are in a healthy and desired state, allowing them to recover from unauthorized changes.

More specifically, Rezilion automates manual security bottlenecks, making security “as agile as DevOps,” the company says in a statement. It also says it is the only solution that dramatically reduces the amount of security work required to launch new digital products while keeping software environments safe.

“Our technology brings developers and security teams together,” says Shlomi Boutnaru, Rezilion co-founder and CTO. “This round of funding will allow us to dramatically accelerate our vision by advancing product development and driving growth globally.”

“Rezilion’s pioneering approach generates a number of benefits to meet the needs of CEOs, CIOs, and CISOs, from accelerating digital transformation, deploying faster products, and improving productivity and compliance to adopting best practices in development of cutting edge and the guarantee of greater security and better return on investment, ”said Yoav Tzruya, general partner of JVP. “Under the proven leadership of Liran and Shlomi, we look forward to expanding Rezilion’s markets and offerings to provide more value based on their unique technology.”
