Apple’s AirPods series are some of the best true wireless earbuds on the market, including the excellent AirPods Max. There is nothing like them for iPhone users. Beyond being completely wireless, the AirPods boast a host of high-end features, from the built-in Siri voice assistant to the active noise cancellation found on the AirPods Pro and Max. They have helped revolutionize the way people listen to music and made it easier than ever to enjoy your favorite music or podcasts on the go.
That said, AirPods often spend almost as much time outside of your ears as they do in them, meaning that dirt and other grime tend to build up over time, compromising aesthetics. After all, no one wants to be the person with dirty AirPods, especially considering the steep price tag!
However, the proper method for cleaning AirPods is not the same as cleaning other earbuds or earphones. You should not use soaps, shampoos or a lot of liquid when cleaning them, as they could damage the buds. Instead, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Lightly dampen a soft, lint-free cloth.
Step 2: Clean the body avoiding the speaker mesh.
Step 3: Use a dry cotton swab to clean the microphone and speaker screens.
Step 4: Let them dry before placing them in the charging case. or Your ears.
Step 1: If any water has collected on the ear tip, tap the AirPod with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth with the tip opening facing down.
Step 2: Remove the olives from each AirPod and rinse each tip with water. Again, do not use soap or other household cleaners.
Step 3: Clean each ear tip with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Wait for the tips to dry completely before putting them back in each AirPod.
Step 4: Click the olives on each AirPod again. The olives are oval in shape, so be sure to line them up correctly before putting them back.
Before you know it, your AirPods will look like new. The most important thing to remember is to use as little liquid as possible. Now, move on to the cleanest AirPods Pro on the block.
First of all, never run your AirPods Max underwater. Instead, simply wipe the body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
