Guild of Dungeoneering Definitive Edition It’s the turn-based dungeon crawler with a twist – instead of controlling the hero, players build the dungeon around him. Using cards drawn from their guild decks, players set rooms, monsters, traps, and (of course) loot. All of this is dressed up in a hugely nostalgic ‘pencil and paper’ art style, influenced by classic tabletop RPGs from the ’80s and’ 90s (plus games the developers created as kids!).
Led by Colm Larkin and Fred Mangan, Gambrinous is an independent studio based in Dublin, Ireland. Known for Dungeon Guild and Card apocalypse, Gambrinous creates games inspired by the wonder of board and board games.
“Creating Guild of Dungeoneering Definitive Edition let’s go back to the dungeon armed with everything we’ve learned in the years since the original’s release “says Larkin. “We’ve completely rebuilt Guild of Dungeoneering on a new engine, tweaked and rebalanced all systems, and then added a large amount of new content to complete it.”
“We invite new and existing dungeons to rally their Guild, sharpen their swords, and join us (and the ever-popular singing bard) in the biggest and best version of our dungeon adventure.”
